It can be spotted alone or more frequently in pairs or small groups within the same anemone species like Heteractis magnifica or Stichodactyla mertensii. The fry must be nurtured separately in another aquarium and fed a diet of rotifers followed by baby brine shrimp.
Omnivorous by nature, tank-raised clownfish require a combination of protein-rich foods and some plant matter in their diet. They readily accept high-quality marine flake food, particularly those enriched with spirulina algae, as well as freeze-dried and frozen offerings.
